For 30 years, Dean Madison has provided retained executive recruitment services and organizational leadership consulting to Fortune 500 companies and emerging growth organizations worldwide. Dean has garnered national attention for connecting hundreds of clients with top-performing individuals and fully integrating them into high-performing executive teams. He’s carved a human capital niche achieving optimal results with innovative, multi-dimensional, and reliable assessment techniques.
Prior to founding TD Madison and Associates, Dean was a senior partner at the global executive recruitment firm Warren, Morris & Madison Ltd. During his 14-year tenure there, Dean provided recruitment services to the Media, Technology and Telecommunications sectors where his use of behavioral/situational based interviewing methods made him a pioneer. Dean’s approach seized the attention of Wall Street Journal contributor, outplacement hiring consultant, and author Lori Davila. In her book “How to Choose the Right Person for the Right Job Every Time,” Davila devotes a chapter to Dean’s use of the behavioral and psychometrics approach to ensure that a candidate’s skills and personality traits mesh perfectly with what the client needs.
Before entering the executive recruitment industry, Dean worked in the cable industry, and held various executive level positions. At Cox Communications, he was responsible for the development of the Human Resource Management functions in the Company’s second largest operation. At Daniel & Co., Dean was charged with overseeing operations in Southeastern Virginia, where he played a critical role in structuring the Company for acquisition within the broadband sector.
Dean’s human capital philosophy was shaped at the management-consulting firm of Green-Harper Company. It was there that Dean first developed the foundation of his Leadership Model, linking skills and personality traits to success in the business world. He aided in the development of core methodology for training and organizational design projects. Dean managed and directed the Southwest operations.
Dean completed Harvard’s Executive Educational program on Managing Human Capital and is certified to administer the Five-Factor Model of Personality Assessment. He has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
Dean recently served on the Board of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Richmond and is a former board member of the Richmond Venture Forum. When he’s not traveling around the country meeting with clients in several sectors, Dean is home in Virginia Beach with his wife and two daughters.
